Today we will discuss about the much talked about iPad 2 and Android Honeycomb tablet.
iPad 2 : Apple unveiled iPad 2 on March 2, 2011. The iPad weighs about 1.3 pounds and is 0.34 inches thick. The iPad 2 has a 1 GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM and 9.7 inches screen size with 1024 X 768 resolution. The iPad 2 also has a camera in the front and rear of the tablet and a gyroscope.
Android : The Motorola Xoom is an Android-based tablet by Motorola introduced on January 5, 2011. The Xoom weighs about 1.7 pounds and is 0.50 inches thick. The Xoom has a 1 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 10.1 inches screen size with 1280 X 800 resolution. The Xoom has two cameras. It will also be upgradeable to 4G in the near future, while the iPad 2 is 3G forever.
The Android Honeycomb OS allows scrolling through mails, check calendar and news without opening the program by just placing the cursor on the icon while iPad 2 with does not support this capability with current iOS 4.3.5. Multitasking is very limited in iPad 2 as compared to Honeycomb. In Android Honeycomb tablet Xoom you can input information by voice using Google’s voice-to-text software. You can easily sync your Honeycomb tablet by simple plugging it to your computer while in iPad you can only access your files through iTunes.
