For more than 60 years, it is one of the leading brands in manufacturing storage batteries. The global presence includes 45 countries across six continents with the widest range of automotive and industrial batteries.
This Mobility Solution with efficient features & functions caters to Sales Team daily operations & activities. It empowers the Sales Team with more ease of doing their daily routine / improve productivity enriching more customer satisfaction.
The following are the pain points from the client side and the proposed solution must solve those:
- One of the prime bottlenecks for the client was poor Customer Satisfaction Index
- Client management had observed most Sales Team members were spending their productive time in peripheral activities (such as managing/tracking orders, order status inquiry, order history, customer outstanding etc) instead of visiting or meeting dealers’, relationship building activity, sales growth/targets meeting strategy etc.
- Order placement in SAP was error-prone and inefficient
- Lack of willingness to accept the technology shift
- Most sales team were not visiting Dealers/Retailers on regular basis at their premises
The team of SPEC INDIA went extra miles to understand the problems and developed a comprehensive solution that met client’s expectation.
The team came up with a very unique concept called ‘Customer Touch Time’ being one of the key parameters to be monitored for each sales team member while visiting dealers/retailer getting accounted as real productive time.
To assist the sales team with the most accurate and real-time data, the team developed back-end integration with SAP with use of SAP-PI Data exchange interface.
With the implementation of the solution, it is possible to place orders through tablet with an appropriate selection of Material Code / Qty and Indicative Prices.
The team implemented a concept of Offline data storage (at the client) in absence of Mobile Data Connectivity to servers and all the transactions performed in offline Mode are preserved on the client end. later once data connectivity is resumed, they are executed in the same sequential manner as like required.
In order to make sure dealers’ visits are genuinely executed, developers mapped dealers’ GPS Coordinates and restricted sales team to initiated visits only if within the vicinity of dealers’ actual location.
