The client was in search for a unified web portal that can offer automation of food ingredients-related activities. Earlier the client had had no system at all, everything was managed through spreadsheets. Only the raw material approval process was on Microsoft SharePoint.
Key Challenges
The client was finding it difficult to manage different activities of the food ingredients business since there was no application. They found it challenging to maintain the master data, recipe data, material data, bill of substances, etc.

The newly developed R&D web application has replaced SAP ERP in master data management for material, product, and recipe data. However, every data object interfaced with SAP will still need SAP-specific enrichment before it can be used.
