Over the years, much is heard and said about growing trees and encouraging a greener environment, world over. By organizing a successful ‘Grow Trees’ event, SPEC INDIA took this initiative seriously and pledged to contribute towards a greener tomorrow.

As a part of our CSR activities and as a strong initiative from the CEO and our team, we kicked off the pre-event activities by celebrating the CEO’s birthday with a Go Green initiative. The campaign was initiated with him planting a sapling in our office premises.

Planting trees is an easy task, but growing trees calls for long term responsibilities – care during planting and the follow-up care after planting – feels our CEO. As a step towards the ‘Go Green’ movement, our objective is not only to plant trees but also to ensure a smooth growth process, for them to sustain their existence independently. For us, the goal is to grow a healthy, mature tree; only then can we reap the fruits of the trees grown!

Taking it further in a big way, our SPEC INDIA task force participated in the ‘Grow Trees’ event, with enthusiasm and sincerity. The event was organized at a location near Makarba, Ahmedabad, on the 6th of July 2019, in the morning around 7 AM to 10 AM. We had a group of young enthusiasts who worked hard to plant around 333 trees in an area of about 3330 sq. yds. These young SPEC millennials also took upon themselves to plant and grow trees in their residential premise and apartment blocks.

Our team, with the CEO’s support, is planning similar events, soon, that will encourage the growth of more trees and the maintenance of the ones already planted.

We @ SPEC INDIA have always worked together, on fulfilling our corporate social responsibilities – growing more trees, being a significant one. Let us all join hands for a greener tomorrow! We already have!
